On Thursday, October 2nd 2025, at 8:00 PM, the “Aperitivi in danza” Festival, organized by MOTUS at the Centro Internazionale d’Arte (Via Mencattelli 5/7, Siena), restarts. An event with an oriental flavor inspired by the recently artistic residency in Singapore, which will host the exhibition “All’ultimo Momento” by Amarilli Soriente and James Vega and the contemporary dance performance “Do not forget” by the MOTUS Company.
The evening will start with the vernissage of “All’ultimo Momento” an exhibition featuring works from different periods of the artistic career of the two young artists, linked by their research on the human body, understood as a universal language: “a body that, still or in motion, becomes a vehicle of emotions, from the most luminous and subtle to the most instinctive and primordial.”
Amarilli Soriente, after a self-taught path, furthered her education with a master’s degree in digital and traditional illustration. Her artistic research revolves around the eternal bond between humanity and nature. She has collaborated with the publishing house “Vivida Book” and has brought her work into urban spaces with murals in Barcelona, Santa Coloma, Siena, and Volterra.
James Vega, artist of Latin American origins, began his artistic journey in 2002, exploring graffiti in the vibrant streets of a South American desert city. Upon arriving in Italy, he combined graffiti influences with classical art, creating works imbued with a melancholic carnality and violent instability. His Latin American roots guide his artistic research, manifesting in works that explore nature, life, and death, which can be found in cities such as Florence, Rome, Barcelona, and many others. His passion for art constantly drives him to explore new techniques and media, seeking new forms of expression and ways to communicate.
After the vernissage, Simona Cieri, choreographer and founder of the MOTUS Company, along with Martina Agricoli, dancer and choreographer, will present the activities carried out during their Artistic Residency in Singapore.
The talk will be followed by the MOTUS performance “Do not forget”, inspired by the national project “Cessate il Fuoco,” created by MOTUS for an awareness campaign through dance on the themes of nonviolence and peace, and supported by Otto per Mille funds from the Waldensian Church.
The event will end with a buffet, to allow the artists and the public to interact in a convivial atmosphere.
The ticket price is 12 euros (reduced 10 euros).
