ON THE STAGE OF THE ALFIERI THEATRE
FOR THE SHOW “IN-FLUSSI”
On stage Saturday, May, 18 at 9:15 p.m. at the Alfieri Theatre in Castelnuovo Berardenga the show IN-FLUSSI, a production of MOTUS realized by boys and girls from Azerbaijan, Burkina Faso, Chile, China, Colombia, Gambia, Japan, Guinea, Italy, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, Senegal, Turkey.
The show takes the title by the project IN-FLUSSI, created by MOTUS in collaboration with Comune di Castelnuovo Berardenga and funded by Regione Toscana and Ministero del Lavoro e delle Politiche Sociali. The project involves a network of No-Profit associations and cooperatives, as Arcisolidarietà Siena, Oxfam Italia Intercultura, Visionaria, and institutions as the University for Foreigners of Siena.
The target of the project is to create spaces for sharing and exchange to raise awareness on the value of the differences, assuming that, in the huge sea of cultures, there are no one-way flows. In addition, in this project focus has been on the shared creative process. The workshops started in January, promoting the shared work of people of different nationalities and culture, creating a mixed collective composed of men and women, students, workers and even volunteers. Also the professional dancers of the MOTUS Company and some young dancers attending the professional advancement courses have been joined the collective. All participants worked exchanging experiences and stories through movements, creating the dramaturgical structure of the show. Furthermore, during the workshops, the association Visionaria realized video shootings, used to create short documentaries to be shared on the Internet.
The show IN-FLUSSI bring on the stage the meeting between different people who share a unique and equal humanity. Choreographed by Simona Cieri and directed by Rosanna and Simona Cieri, the work is performed by Aichatou Cherif, Ilaria Fratantuono, Yao Huang, Elvira Ismagilova, Friki Keita, Cinzia Licursi, Roberta Morello, Felisia Nicoletti, Roland Nzembi, Tatiana Salazar, Andrea Cecilia Searle, Rahman Shah, Mattia Solano.
On May, 15th, at 11:30 a.m. the national premiere will be preceded by an open rehearsal, dedicated to students, at the Alfieri Theatre, aimed to raise children awareness on the themes of solidarity and integration.
