“MareMadre” (beyond WATER)
Coproduction: XX° Festival Internazionale Abano Danza Festival delle Arti – Fabbrica Lumiere – A.R.CO Danza
With the support of Ministero per i beni e le Attività Culturali – (MIBAC) and Regione Veneto
The see of his birthplace inspired Luciano Firi for the choreography “Mare Madre (beyond Water)”, delicate creation that remind the liquid and iridescent charm of this city, Chioggia, its history, culture, tradition, so close to the ones of the “sister” Venice.
“Mare Madre (beyond Water)” is a metaphor for a universal condition which starts from the short story of each of us to embrace the history of the universe through the thousands facets of a dance “.
The choreography is a fresco of bodies that trace exciting vertical movement plastic scenes and an attractive mixture of individual spaces with dynamic paintings of assemblages, remainding certain chromatic outcome of the great Venetian painting.
“Mare Madre (beyond Water)” is full of great dynamism and subsequent breaks, well interpreted by the dancers, like the flow of water, an essential element of life, which goes from the source to the sea, becoming stream and river, according to a rhythm which is also the rhythm of time passing around and within us.
