with “In God absence”, the Motus company opens the 2008-2009 theatre season at Rozzi Theatre in Siena. Back from a very successful tour in Romania, where they participated at “Man in fest”, one of the most interesting contemporary dance event in Europe … their dance is a discipline where movement means communication, a way to tell to the audience about hard and complex subjects. Thanks to the great ability of the choreographer and dancer Simona Cieri and to her corps de ballet, the performance is an occasion to stimulate the spectators to reflect on subjects such as religious fanaticism menace, but also, on the choice to have faith in a God, as a believers’ guide, or to decide not to submit oneself to anybody, looking at reality as it is, without any religious hope. The performance will be supported by video realized by the choreographer herself, to underline the strong contamination with other forms of art; which is a characteristic of the company productions.
