“SOSTANTIVO PLURALE”, THE SHOW OF THE MOTUS COMPANY ABOUT THE REVOLUTIONARY VALUE OF CULTURE
On Saturday 17th February at 9.30 PM, the MOTUS Company presents in Prato the show “Sostantivo plurale”, in the frame of the 9th edition of “BodySongs – Corpi che cantano” Festival, organized by The Loom – Movement Factory with the artistic direction of Sara Nesti .
This year the theme of the Festival , which take place at the Officina Giovani (Piazza dei Macelli 4, Prato), is the “contamination” as meeting of languages, contact between different cultures, re-mixing and exchange.
The MOTUS Company, for the occasion, decided to bring on stage one of the latest productions, “Sostantivo plurale”. This work aims to highlight the key role that Culture can and must play in contemporary societies. In fact, in a world in which the change requires a switch of perspective and fear risks to take over the common sense, the Culture is the only weapon which can be able to indicate the right direction and to prevent the arise of new conflicts.
«Culture» explains Simona Cieri, choreographer of the Company, «it is not unique, but it is the result of endless contaminations, a synthesis that is not static, but it evolves day by day. It always feed itself with new suggestions, it transforms changes into opportunities and it is the only instrument which is able to fight against mediocrity».
The show is produced with the support of the Tuscany Region, in collaboration with Visionaria Film Festival, and is performed by the dancers Martina Agricoli, Andrè Alma, Ilaria Fratantuono and Mattia Solano on choreography by Simona Cieri and directed by Rosanna and Simona Cieri.
On the same day , from 11:00 AM, the spaces of Officina Giovani host two other shows, free workshops and an aperitif.
The ticket for the shows is 5 euros. Limited seats. Reservation is recommended.
