Saturday 8 July 2017 MOTUS presents in Grosseto “Culture Games”
MOTUS dancing in defense of Culture at the Cava in Roselle
Saturday 8th July at 10:00 pm the Cava in Roselle (Grosseto, Italy) hosts an event not to be missed: the theater-dance of the MOTUS Company. Cava’s open-air theater, managed by Cooperativa Uscita di Sicurezza (Grosseto), will be inspired by “Culture Games”, a site-specific, itinerant and interactive performance created to highlight the importance of cultural sharing, dialogue and mutual understanding, the only instruments able to contrast the power of mediocrity.
The various scenes will reveal, with irony and sarcasm, the different aspects of the relationship between society and culture with particular attention to the attitude of the strong powers towards Culture: destruction of cultural places due to wars and conflicts, political attempts to manipulate Culture in order to gain consensus, superficiality, clichés and prejudices.
Spectators who intend to participate in a game based on cultural symbols, can bring with them a book that they would like to exchange. The dancers, moving around the green in front of the stage, will form a chain to distribute the books, received from some spectators/donors, to other spectators/donors.
Performed by Veronica Abate, Martina Agricoli, Andrè Alma, Simona Gori and Mattia Solano, on choreography by Simona Cieri and directed by Rosanna and Simona Cieri, the show promises to be a must-to-see event.
The show will start at 10:00 pm.
The price of the ticket is € 10. Tickets can be purchased before the show or in advance at Cava in Roselle (Strada Chiarini, Roselle) or at Coop. Uscita di Sicurezza (via Giordania 181 Grosseto).
