Call for Application Move Off Winter 2018 for Young Choreographers
Application Deadline: November 30, 2017.
MOTUS, international contemporary dance company supported by the Tuscany Region and the City of Siena, with artistic residences in Italy and abroad, selects 2 young choreographers (under 35) for the Move Off Festival.
The productions will be included in the program of the International Dance Festival Move Off Winter 2018, organized by the MOTUS Company in collaboration with the Municipality of Siena and Fondazione Toscana Spettacolo, taking place at the Municipal Theater of Rinnovati in Siena from 31 January to 2 February 2018.
Requirements:
- age of the choreographer: between 18 and 35 years of age
- maximum choreography duration: 20 minutes
- maximum number of dancers on stage: 2
- Choreographic works in which the body language is intended to communicate a message will be preferred
How to participate
Candidates will have to submit a project with the following information:
- title of the proposed show
- description of the show project
- name, contacts and brief curriculum of the choreographer
- link to the full-length video of the proposed show
- photo
- technical rider
Projects must be submitted by 30 November 2017 by email at the following address: info@motusdanza.it indicating in the subject of the e-mail: Call Move Off Winter 2018
Conditions
MOTUS assures to selected artists:
- rehearsal spaces
- food and accommodation for up to 2 people
- Local transports for up to 2 people
- Minimum fee and labor taxes on the day of the show
- technical service and assistance
- organizational support
- press office and promotion
Selection criteria
The works submitted will be selected by the Move Off Winter 2018 Commission on the basis of the following criteria:
– Originality of the choreography
– Subject of the choreography
– Efficacy of the communication style
The results of the selection will be announced by December 10, 2017.
