In social terms, ‘equal’ stands for ‘same’, ‘similar’, but the Latin etymology also refers to aequus, with a strong reference to the concept of ‘impartiality for those belonging to the same class of equivalence’. This establishes a definition of equality based on the fact that a person belongs to the same group and, at the same time, it defines equity for those who are part of the group. But …….

What is the criterion that defines equity and establishes equality between human beings?

Who decides who can be considered a man and confines  those who are too different to the edges of the society?
