Simona Cieri, choreographer and dancers, is the Artistic Director of the International Centre of Art in Siena.
Since more than 20 years she teaches dance according to her original method.
Simona Cieri is author of a methodology (with copyright) for dance teaching.
In 1986, she started her didactic activity as director and teacher in various schools in Florence (Italy).
From 1990 to 1999 she was appointed as Modern and Contemporary Dance Teacher at the Piccolo Teatro in Siena (Italy).
From 1991 to 1994 she has been working in projects for professional advancement of teachers in the Public Italian School.
From 1999 to 2001 she was appointed by the Department of Public Studies as a dance therapy teacher in public schools treating also subjects with difficulties in learning.
She was also appointed by Siena University (Department of Psychiatry) as a responsible of projects aimed to the support of subjects affected by psychiatric disorders.
In 2000 she was appointed as Contemporary Dance Teacher at the Florence Dance Centre (Florence, Italy).
In 2000, she founded in Siena the International Centre of Art as artistic director, with the objective to create a multidisciplinary place where different aspects of art can meet starting from the language of the body.
Simona Cieri teaches in periodic stages, laboratories and workshops in various schools in Italy and abroad.
She also teaches in professional advancement courses for professional dancers and dance teachers.
