On Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 8.30 p.m.
a new appointment of the “Aperitivi in danza” Festival
After the success of the first event of the new edition of “Aperitivi in danza”, organised by MOTUS, restarted in September after two years of stop because of the pandemic, the Festival offers a new appointment, with a rich interdisciplinary program.
The event starts at 8.30 p.m. at the Centro Internazionale d’Arte and the program includes the opening of the photographic exhibition “LE NOTE E I PASSI” by Bruno di Blasi, the live music by Ross and the performance “FREE ASSANGE”, extract from the new production of the MOTUS Company dedicated to the journalist Julian Assange.
“LE NOTE E I PASSI” is a photographic project dedicated to the word of live shows, which portrays musicians and dancers. Once again, Bruno di Blasi “plays with the manipulation of the image through digital tools, transforms our optical prejudices with skilful rigor, activates recognition mechanisms, which are however contradicted by his work of metamorphosis of the image. The works of the artist create a new visual system, which declines as a wise subversion of the collective media icons”, as Lorenzo Canova says.
After the opening of the exhibition, the songwriter Ross presents to the audience some tracks from “Quattro passi nell’amore”, a work co-produced by Rosario Aloisio and Alessandro Guasconi in 2021, which talk about love stories that end, evolve, or move into other dimensions.
Following, the MOTUS Company will bring on stage the drama of Julian Assange, journalist and founder of WikiLeaks, through the dance performance “FREE ASSANGE”. On October 15, an international event for Assange’s freedom has been organized. This demostration, linked to the MOTUS project, lasted 24 hours and involved 50 big cities all around the world.
Actually Assange, who revealded war crimes committed in Iraq and in Afghanistan, is detained in Belmarsh Prison (UK), waiting for extradition in the USA, where he is expected to be condemned to 175 years of prison, because, referring to an old US law dated 1917, he is accused of “espionage”. Journalists, diplomats and civil society organisations fighting for human rights, are working hard in order to make him free.
The ticket price is 10 euros (reduced 8 euros) and booking is recommended.
During the evening, as usual, a buffet will be offered, during which audience will have to opportunity to meet artists in a convivial atmosphere.
