\u201cConsenso Informato\u201d (Informed Consent) is a MOTUS project, in collaboration with Castelnuovo Berardenga Municipality and DISPOC of Siena University,\u00a0 in particular with the Course of HISTORY OF COMMUNICATION AND JOURNALISM, with the participation of Consiglio regionale della Toscana. To celebrate the Festa della Toscana, the project foresees a public meeting at Siena University (presidio universitario San Niccol\u00f2, via Roma 56) on March 29 at 3:30 pm, and the show \u201dIngratitudine (vizio delle anime anguste)\u201d at Vittorio Alfieri Municipal Theatre in Castelnuovo Berardenga on March 30 at 9:15 pm.<\/p>\n

The 2022 edition of the Festa della Toscana is dedicated to the theme of freedom of expression, stated in art. 21 of the Italian Constitution: “Everyone has the right to freely express their <\/em>thoughts in speech, writing, or any other form of communication<\/em>.”\u00a0 On this theme, the MOTUS Company worked intensively in 2022, producing, with the support of the Tuscany Region, the show “Ingratitudine\u00a0 (vizio delle anime anguste)”. Dedicated to the human drama of Julian Assange, the show is performed by Martina Agricoli, Elisa Bartoli, Paloma Biagioli, Antonio Corvo, Roberta Morello, Mattia Solano, with choreography by Simona Cieri and directed by Rosanna and Simona Cieri.<\/p>\n

Julian Assange, journalist and founder of WikiLeaks, is currently held in Belmarsh prison in UK, waiting to be extradited to the United States. His only crime is having lifted the veil on war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan and for this reason he has been charged with espionage. The show, presented as a preview at the Estate Fiesolana Festival and premiered in Roma, has never been performed in Siena and the Festa della Toscana is the perfect opportunity to present also to the local audience a work aimed to raise awareness, through the artistic language, on Assange case, but also on freedom of information as a universal vale. Thanks to the long lasting collaboration with Castelnuovo Berardenga Municipality, the MOTUS Company will present the show at Alfieri Municipal Theatre on March 30. The show is free admission and reservation is reccomended.<\/p>\n

To sensitise the young generations on the theme, the Company involved the course of HISTORY OF COMMUNICATION of the University of Siena, organising the day before the show a public meeting at San Niccol\u00f2 at 3:30 pm. The public meeting is realised in collaboration with DISPOC and will see the participation of Professor Maurizio Boldrini (Course of HISTORY OF COMMUNICATION AND JOURNALISM), Professor Tiziano Bonini Baldini (Course of SOCIOLOGY OF COMMUNICATION) and Tina Marinari (Amnesty International Italy). The meeting is open to students, journalists and associations interested in defending freedom of information.<\/p>\n
