\n“TELL ME THAT YOU LOVE ME” BY MOTUS, \u00a0A DENOUNCE\u00a0AGAINST VIOLENCE TO WOMEN<\/p>\n
The “inconvenient dance” of MOTUS\u00a0is again engaged in a national battle to denounce\u00a0what can be defined as\u00a0a real slaughter. With “Tell me you love me”, staged at the Teatro Vascello in Rome on March 6, 2017 , the Company is launching its denounce\u00a0against femicide, growing phenomenon in Italy that records a victim every two and a half days and that, in most cases, \u00a0is made\u00a0by a family member or a person with whom the victim had a relationship.
\nEntering into the causes and psychological mechanisms that lead men to arrogate their partners’ right to life or\u00a0death, MOTUS analyzes the decline of the reality perception \u00a0and inability to feel\u00a0the value of things, typical of the contemporary world. In an emotionally unstable context, the search for love takes the form of a labored and spasmodic pursuit to reach the possession of the other, as the only way forward to its inner conflicts. And violence against women becomes “one of the crucial social mechanisms by which women are forced into a subordinate position compared with men” as stated in the UN General Assembly.
\nIn this context, the behaviors of love set are photographed by MOTUS\u00a0 as a substitute for missing certainty able to replace unsatisfied existential needs. That’s why\u00a0on the scene various solitudes appear, from the exhibitionism to tenderness, from\u00a0the frantic search for a partner to the violence of all-against-all. Above\u00a0all, \u00a0the loneliness of women who suffer for violence dominates (6,000,000 and 788,000 only in Italy, according to ISTAT report 2015). Women that are \u00a0often unable to denounce\u00a0their executioners\u00a0and that are not sufficiently protected even when they find the courage to denounce them. The same loneliness experienced by Giordana Di Stefano, \u00a0 twenty years old dancer, stabbed and killed in Nicolosi on October 7, 2015 by her former boyfriend that she denounced\u00a0for stalking. To Giordana Di Stefano MOTUS dedicates the show.
\nWith\u00a0Veronica Abate, Martina Agricoli, Andr\u00e8 Alma, Maurizio Cannalire, Simona Gori, on choreography by Simona Cieri and direction by Rosanna \u00a0and Simona Cieri, the show has been poduced in\u00a0collaboration with the Neapolitan composer Daniele Sepe, one of the most interesting and prestigious Italian authors , who signed the original music.<\/p>\n
